WEBSITES

LBCC COS Department

Screenshot of LBCC COS department homepage
Redesigned Long Beach City College's Computer and Office Studies Department website. This site was built in PHP using a MySQL database. All content is dynamically created using a backend administrative site which I also created in PHP.

COS Application Manager

I created this certificate management demo to be added onto the LBCC COS departmental website. Currently department certificates are submitted and processed using paper applications. This application allows data to be stored in a database and used for reports using a PostgreSQL database and PHP.

Belmont Shore Rugby Club

Screenshot of BSWRFC homepage
I completely redesigned the Belmont Shore Women's Rugby Club website from their 2006 table-heavy layout. I make updates on this site about once per year, and hope to transfer them over to a CMS like WordPress this summer.

Project ALOFA

Screenshot of Project ALOFA homepage
I volunteered to setup a website for the non-profit organization Project ALOFA which provides support to reintegrate incarcerated individuals. I helped their organization purchase their domain and hosting, created their site using Drupal, and trained their organization on how to use the Drupal CMS.

SVG

Screenshot of SVG informational homepage
This site is a single page application explaining what scalable vector graphics are and the pros and cons of using them. I created all the SVG's on this page either manually typing them out or using Adobe Illustrator.

Lumpify Me!

Screenshot of Lumpify Me homepage
I created this character generator in my JavaScript class. I drew a multi-layered SVG image of Lumpy Space Princess (LSP) from Adventure Time using Adobe Illustrator and used JavaScript to randomly select different parts of LSP and the background image.

My Favourite City

Screenshot of Kanazawa favourite city homepage
This was one of the first websites I ever created. We had to create a website that highlighted one of our favourite cities. My favourite city is Kanazawa, Japan which is where I lived and studied in 2010. All photographs were taken by me while living in Japan. This site is super simple, but I like it.

BBQ Night

Screenshot of BBQ Night tribute homepage
For a class assignment I chose to make a website for my favorite Korean BBQ restaurant: BBQ Night. They don't currently have a website and I willingly sacrificed my time and money to go photograph their food on the sly for my assignment.

Watch Me CrossFit

Screenshot of Watch Me CrossFit blog homepage
This is a blog I created using WordPress to practice SEO, Google Adwords, and Adsense. I am an active CrossFitter and used the site to chronicle my fitness journey through the 2016 CrossFit Open competition.

COMM 130 Portfolio

This is the final project of my Visual Media class at BYU-Idaho. This portfolio includes all assignments from that class. I am particularly proud of my logo and website designs. These projects can be viewed in more detail on the WordPress site I created for the class: COMM 130

Clone Wars

For this assignment we had to recreate an image using Adobe Illustrator and then alter the image to make it unique. Naturally, I turned the character into a vampire.

2014 Tafesilafa'i Program

I was hired to design the program for the 2014 Tafesilafa'i Festival at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. Created using Adobe InDesign.
